The cast and crew of Caprice & Ella as well as special guest stars of Season Atkins, Maribel Mort, and Tracia Matthewson reflect on Ava Zinn’s relocation from Marion, Indiana to Fort Wayne, Indiana after years of lobbying for a new facility for Ava (and eventually Caprice and Ella) to replace the inadequate facility at Carey Court Apartments, which was Ava’s home from March 6, 2003 until May 14, 2018 in addition to lobbying for another college or university for Zinn to attend to replace the inadequate Indiana Wesleyan University, of which began on September 27, 2001 until August 24, 2020 as well as transgender rights in the city of Marion. To this day, Ava’s move to Fort Wayne continues to embitter many friends she left behind in Grant County as well as many longtime Mississinewa High School Class of 2001 alums decades afterward, and had a lasting impact on LGBT individuals, specifically on transgender men and women.
