The miniseries begins as Caprice gets upset as Ava is gone most of Mondays and Wednesdays yet also some Tuesdays and Thursdays. They continue to get frustrated with Ava being gone for classes at Purdue Fort Wayne. As Ava explains for the fifth time to Caprice and Ella that there is nothing Ava can do until May 2024. All they can do is wait patiently. The good thing Ava has is the fact Ava adopted the four-day work week in July 2013. Ava then explains to Caprice that if she has a problem of Ava being gone, Caprice and Ella should explain to Ava’s advisor at Purdue Fort Wayne and the advisor will likely tell them to be patient.
However, Ava has the funds for the application fee and hold fee yet is now at least $3200 short to cover the security deposit (between $500 and $1100), first month rent ($1100 without the Section 8 voucher), pet deposit ($500), and mover ($500). The application to Preston Pointe at The Inverness is in the mail. Ava now realizes she is doing the opposite of what Black Pine Flats did on June 10, 2022, as Ava will notify Tara Fike that the lease at Golfview is not being renewed.
