Biography

Margaret Zinn (April 7, 1943-May 10, 2002) was an entrepreneur who founded NoSirGifts in 1987 and was best known as the mother of Caprice & Ella creator and executive producer Ava Zinn and mechanic Albert Zinn. At the time of her death, she had three grandsons (two have since transitioned to female), four granddaughters and a great grandson (also has since transitioned to female).

She was born in Marion, Indiana to the late Paul Lahr and Artie (Mayo) Lahr Liestenfeltz.

Margaret was a mother of two children and was self-employed as a retailer. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her niece and loved her grandchildren.

Margaret married Willis Zinn in 1976, and he died in 1984.

Survivors include children, Albert Zinn and Frank (Angela) Zinn, both of Marion; step-father Frank Liestenfeltz, Upland; brother Charles Lahr, Nevada; sister Carolyn (Charles) Hopper, Anderson; nieces Vicki (James) Little, Upland, Sharon Sprinkle, Patricia (Charles) Chaplin, and Linda (Charles) Renbarger, all of Marion; nephews Rick Renbarger and Robert Purvis, both of Marion; grandchildren and several grand nieces and nephews, and a very special woman, Elanor (Mendez) Nieves, Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Shirley Purvis and Marilyn Walden; niece, Carol Jones.

Owen-Weilert Duncan Funeral Home handled funeral arrangements and no services were held.
