Several cast changes are in the works and therefore a at least the staff and crew of Caprice & Ella are hopeful things go smoothly.
The last two virtual table reads were disappointing and because a few people did not show up after winning their respective roles in the audition and as a result, Ava Zinn has to recast some characters to portray as follows:
- Alisan Zinn (was to be portrayed by Bristol Halechko, recast pending)
- Larisa Thorn (was to be portrayed by Caitlin Skinner, recasting pending due to Ms. Skinner dropping out)
- Melissa, the pet sitter (was to be portrayed by Alison Smith, recast pending due to Alison Smith dropping out)
- Professor (was to be portrayed by Kely Miller, pending recast in the event should Hailey Curry not show up for Table Read #3)
- Minister (pending recast should Jason Blevins not show up for Table Read #3)
- Male Teacher (was to be portrayed by John Blackwell, recast pending due to Mr. Blackwell dropping out)
- Carnival Workers #1 and #2 (recast pending should Anna Wood and/or Christian Hunter not show up for Table Read #3)
- Classmates #1, 2, and 3 (pending recast in the event should Katrina Redmon-Emery, Paul Hedrick, and/or Katie Chattin not show up for Table Read #3)
- Waiter of two restaurants (pending recast in the event should Cerena Johnson not show up for Table Read #3)
- Jenna Zinn (was to be portrayed by Amy Thompson, pending recast in the event should Kayla Barger not show up for Table Read #3)
- Martin Becker (pending recast in the event should Jared Harris not show up to Table Read #3)
The recasts are currently done via Indiana Casting only. Information can be found here.
However, there are voice roles that must be submitted by 3:00 PM United States Eastern/12:00 Noon Pacific April 14, 2023 and the voice roles are not being recast for any reason whatsoever as they are exempt from the table readings:

- Ginger Poupon (voiced by Ava Zinn, submitted)
- Jackson Doogan (voiced by Justice Margowski, submitted
During the first table read, Ava Zinn, Karly Jameson, and Rachael Passalt noticed an error made by Ms. Zinn and she should have held separate table reads for the adults and children as the project is likely to rated R by the Motion Picture Association of America for crude and sexual content, pervasive language, and tobacco use. For the actors set to portray Alisan Zinn, Michael Zinn II, and Leah Zinn, the first hour of the next table reads will be for the children only and the remainder of that time will be for the adults. Because there are three children in the cast, this is the precaution that Ava Zinn must take into consideration as several people were concerned that the style of profanity used in the Caprice & Ella series would be carried over to Caprice & Ella: The Movie.
